Midget

Yesterday was the first day of school.  I have a good class this year, with great parent support!  I will post pictures of my classroom soon.

Anyway, yesterday afternoon one of my students with special needs runs in from the bathroom to tell me:

"Mrs. Casperson, there is a boy in a green shirt who is saying mean things about you in the bathroom."

I told him that wasn't very nice and thought we would leave it at that but this little guy just thought what was said was so horrible.  He quickly proceeded to tell me:

"He called you a midget.  I told him that was my teacher and to stop."

At this point I can't wipe the smile off my face, as this boy is taking this comment very seriously.  I just kept thinking what a "meanie" the boy in the green shirt was!  I guess he will remain a mystery to us and it just goes to show that my height is still being addressed in the school house.  Oh man...
