I was babysitting 2 cute girls today--ages 12 and 8. Our day consisted of lounging by the pool {after we ate a Temptation Cupcake ---heavenly!}...seriously, am I really getting paid for this?!
During the car ride to the Aquatic Center, Halle (age 12) asks if I've heard this song {Hit Me Baby One More Time} before. Really? Duh. So I continue to ask her some other classics of my day like, say N'Sync or Backstreet Boys. Nope!
Then I ask her what her favorite song of all time is: Grenade or Pokerface. Pop music has really transformed from "Quit playing games with my heart" ------>"Take a bullet straight to my brain...yes I would die for you baby..." over the last 15 years. To be honest, I miss the boy bands.
All of my childhood hits are now considered the oldies.
I knew this day would come. I just didn't think it would happen until I was older...does this mean that i'm old?
