I love country music for many reasons--they sing about America, Jesus, love, and other stories. Sure there's the occasional "Whiskey for my Men, Beer for my Horses" songs but I think they mostly have good messages. Since I love all these things, this type of music floods my radio and iPod.
Today, God has been slowly pushed out of our society. It makes me sad to see fellow American citizens not say the Pledge of Allegiance and for the bible to be kicked out of courtrooms. It is sad to hear people so passionate about getting rid of "In God We Trust" on our currency. Our country was founded by good Christian men who believed in God. My fourth graders and I honor those men every morning as we pledge to that beautiful flag.

It makes me very happy to see a You Tube video (with millions of hits) of Carrie Underwood (my fav) singing a classic hymn and receiving a standing ovation for it. I think I belong in Nashville. Thank you, country music, for always making great music!
Wow! This video is amazing!
